Mr. Brown
On the night of the 25th I was awakened at about 2 a.m. by hearing Dr. Leing call to e Sikh constable "Constable, constable go through your exercises," and then he exercised the constable calling out right about turn and left wheel for five to ten minutes. After a few minutes Dr. Laing went into the road and remained in conversation with the Sikh for about half an hour. I heard several clocks striking so I know the time. Then he came up and I heard something fall above ry head, and a little later a very heavy fall as if a man was falling, and then a man groaned a good deal and there was practically nothing after that. I should say that the noise ceased at about twenty minutes to four.

How was he dressed ?
A. Well I got out of bed and saw what was going on.

Dr. Laing was talking to a Sikh under a tree and I saw he had clothing on.
